Basketball Regions 2009!

This years basketball regions were in Tuluksak. We left on a Friday, suppose to leave on a Thursday but, the weather was terrible. It was so much fun! Aniak girls lost but, I had fun playing it wasn't about winning or losing, I went to go and play and have fun at the same time. Akiakchuk girls got 1st! They played against Tuluksak. And Kalskag boys got 1st also! They played against Akiak. The games were all fun and exciting to watch.

December 2008, I went to Anchorage to spend time with my family for Christmas and for a doctor's appointment for my leg, otherwise I would have spend Christmas with my grandma up in Chuathbaluk. For Christmas I got my basketball shoes, a gift card to a clothes store, and a trip to Florida! With my mom, dad, and sister, I can't wait and I am so excited, this is going to be my first time ever leaving the state of Alaska:). 

January 2009, my sister and I came to Aniak. After the basketball tournament they had here, Gary, my sister and I went to go get movies at Alex's house with the car and took a little ride and went to the pit and we got stuck. So we couldn't get out. We tried pushing and pushing but, my sister and I didn't have the muscles. It was really cold outside -50; we couldn't do anything but to keep warm in the car. We were sitting in the car for 14-15 hours, I was shivering like there were no tomorrow, and my teeth kept shattering together really hard. We all fell asleep for a little while, well I did anyways, I was too terrified to sleep. I tried waking my sister up, but she was just too tired, so I let her sleep. Samantha and Amanda went to the pit looking for us and they found us, they were relieved and frightened when they found us, they thought scary thoughts about us, like luckily we did not  freeze to death. Which was the scariest night of  my life.

About me! =)

My name is Elizabeth Soosuk aka Gibbis. I was born in Anchorage on July 4, 1992. Im sixteen years old, and I only have one sister, Flora Phillips. My parents are Brian Soosuk and Lillian Phillips. Im originally from Chuathbaluk (my moms side) and Im also from Unalakleet (my dads side.) I grew up in Chuathbaluk, lived there for eight years and moved to Anchorage in 2000, for eight years. I 'am a junior currently attending Aniak Junior Senior High School, and working my way to graduate a year early. If that happens I will attend UAA in the fall of 2009. I want to go college for welding. My favorite sports to play are volleyball and basketball, my number is 23 :) I love looking forward to meeting new people, i 'm usually a happy person, but shy at first, and i 'm really easy to get along with. I love the colors, teal, orange, burgundy, yellow, I love tye-dye colors. My favorite seasons of the year are summer and winter. I love animals and I love to travel, I haven't gone out of state, yet, but I want to travel around the world some day.
